Anything your organization has published can also be made callable by AI agents, doing exactly what the API does.
Only what you explicitly expose shows up. Drafts and unpublished work are never reachable this way.
Expose something
On a live deployment in the Server console, tick "Expose as agent tool" and give it a name and a description. That's all there is to it — what the tool does is what the published thing does.
How agents authenticate
With a consumer key, the same kind your API consumers use — it decides both which organization the agent is acting for and which environment it reaches. A test key can't reach production. A user's own login won't work here at all.
The Server console gives you the endpoint to hand your agent's developers.
Not the same as connecting your own AI
This page is about other people's agents calling what you published. To point your AI client at your own project data, see Connect Your AI Tools (MCP).
