Insights and Saved Results

Some answers deserve more than a sentence. When a question produces a breakdown — counts by status, sums by district — the assistant renders it as an interactive chart beside the map, and offers to keep what it found.

The AI Insight panel

A rollup question opens a floating panel titled "AI Insight" with a bar or donut chart of the result. In the chat itself you see a compact echo — "Insight: «title» — view beside the map" — so the conversation stays readable while the chart stands on its own.

Chart slices are live. The panel prompts "Click to filter the map"; click a slice and the map narrows to that category, with the active state shown as "Filtering map: X". Click again to release the filter. Ask "Break down Distribution Mains by material" in "Harbourview Network Buildout" and each pipe material becomes a slice you can use to isolate those mains on the map.

Pin an insight as a widget

A useful chart shouldn't die with the conversation. Click "Pin" on the AI Insight panel to save it as a layer analytics widget — the confirmation reads "Pinned to this layer's widgets — shown in Analytics results." From then on it lives with the layer, alongside widgets you build by hand. See Layer Analytics Widgets.

Save results as a layer

When an answer comes down to a specific set of features, the assistant offers to keep them — "Save these N features as "«name»"?" — with "Save as layer" and "Dismiss".

Nothing is saved until you click "Save as layer" — the assistant never creates a layer on its own.

The saved layer is a regular project layer: style it, share it, publish it, or feed it into further analysis like any other.
