  • A dataset in the Data Store to serve

Everything on this page happens in your workspace. Nothing is reachable by anyone else until you make it available outside Tamaat or publish it to Server, which is the next page.

The example is Ava Reyes at Meridian Geospatial building "Harbourview address lookup" over the site records behind her "Harbourview Network Buildout" project.

  1. 1

Create the product. In the API pane, create a product, name it, and pick its type — see Supported API Types.

  2. 2

Attach your data. Choose the dataset or datasets behind it. Your data stays where it is; the product reads it.

  3. 3

Decide what it serves. Point request parameters at your columns and pick the fields that come back. Ava exposes the address columns for matching and returns the site ID, full address, and coordinates — nothing else. More on this in Datasets, Requests, and Responses.

  4. 4

Save. Tamaat prepares the product for serving. Wait for that to finish before testing.

  5. 5

Call it yourself. On the Use tab, Try it sends a real request as you — an address fragment, a full address, a filtered query — and shows the answer as an outline, as JSON or GeoJSON, as a table, or raw, with the request as a caller would send it. Check the matches come from where you expect and the response carries exactly what you chose.

Keeping it current

Your product serves the data as it stood when you last saved. When the underlying dataset changes — new rows, edited values, a new version — rebuild so it serves the current data. The product tells you when a rebuild is running and when it's done.

Rebuilding refreshes what you're testing. Consumers keep getting what you last published until you publish again.
