The "Imagery" tab answers the question you want answered before committing a monitor: what imagery actually exists over this area, when, and how cloudy was it?

It's also the fastest way to explain a run that came back saying it couldn't see enough — usually the honest answer is a cloudy stretch.

  1. Pick an "Area of interest" — "Draw on map", or reuse an existing monitor's area from the list. Drawing works as it does in the wizard: click to add corners, double-click or "Finish shape" to close.
  2. Set your date range and cloud limit.
  3. Click "Search catalog".

Nothing matching? The tab tells you what to do: "No scenes matched — widen the dates or raise the cloud limit."

Read the timeline

Results lay out on a timeline, one dot per scene. Cloudier scenes are bigger and fainter, so a clear acquisition stands out immediately. Scroll or click to move between them, and the caption identifies whichever one you've landed on.

This tab is for checking availability. To actually put imagery to work, create a monitor over the area.
