Files holds your source files — the CSVs, workbooks, archives, and rasters your work starts from, kept exactly as you uploaded them.
Add a file
Open the "Files actions" menu and choose "Add file". The dialog has two tabs:
- "Upload" — drag a file onto the dropzone, or click to browse.
- "Import URL" — paste a "File URL" and, if you want a different name, fill in "Optional file name".
Confirm with "Add File" or "Import File". See Supported File Types for what you can bring in.
Look at a file
Select a file and the "File metadata" panel shows its name, extension, size, who uploaded it and when, and its "Workspace scope" — either "Project", meaning it belongs to one project, or "Workspace", meaning it's available everywhere. Rasters also show their dimensions, bands, and coordinate system.
Scope and search are how you find things here, so give files names you'll recognize later.
Check what's using it before you delete
The "Linked ETL flows" panel lists every flow that reads this file, each with an "Open Workflow" link. A file nothing uses reads "No ETL flows reference this file asset yet."
Files that flows depend on are also marked "In use" in the list — check that before deleting anything. More on wiring files into flows in Use Files in ETL.
File actions
From the detail header:
- "Use in ETL" — jumps to the ETL pane to wire this file into a "Read Data" stage.
- "Open source" — for URL imports, opens the original URL.
- "Download" — gets the file back.
- "Delete" — check "Linked ETL flows" first.
To correct a file, upload the fixed version as a new one.
Imagery shows up here too
Raster layers in the current project appear in the list as read-only rows, so you can see where your imagery came from alongside your uploads. They're managed from the map rather than from here.
