You decide which services answer address searches in Tamaat, and in what order. Two lists live in Settings under Maps → Address search, as two tabs: Autocomplete for the suggestions that appear as someone types, and Geocoding for turning a finished address into a location.

They're separate on purpose — you might want a premium service for final geocodes while something cheaper handles keystroke-by-keystroke suggestions.

Order matters

As the UI puts it: "Providers are attempted in order (top to bottom)". The first one that answers wins, and everything below it is your fallback. Put the service you'd rather use — or already pay for — on top.

Add a provider

Click "Add Provider" and choose one. Tamaat's built-in provider works with no account of your own. Google Maps, Esri, and Precisely use credentials you supply.

Custom API points at your own address service — including an address API you built and published in Tamaat itself (see API Overview).

What uses these

Map search uses both lists — the first for suggestions, the second to place the address you pick. Tamaat AI resolves addresses through your geocoding list too, in your order.

Because everything reads the same lists, fixing a provider problem here fixes it everywhere at once.
