Filter, Sort, and Edit Rows

Search a dataset, build grouped filter conditions, and fix values in place.

Avant de commencer
  • A dataset open in Data Store

Type into "Search dataset..." and press Enter. It searches the whole dataset, not just the page you're looking at, so it works fine on large tables.

Filter

Click "Filter" to open the "Filter dataset" popover — "Build nested SQL-style conditions with grouped AND/OR logic." Once something is applied, the button reads "Filter active" with the number of rules.

You start at the "Root group". From there:

  • "Add rule" adds a condition — pick a column, pick how to compare it, and give it a value.
  • "Add group" nests a group inside the current one, so you can mix AND and OR properly.
  • Toggle any group between "AND" and "OR" with its own switch.

Nesting is what lets Ava ask for (status = "active" AND (region contains "Harbourview" OR region is empty)) without dropping into SQL.

Finish with "Apply", back out with "Cancel", or start over with "Clear".

Sort and page

Each column header menu has "Sort ascending", "Sort descending", and "Clear sort". Set how many rows you see at a time with "Rows per page:" in the footer.

Fix a value

Click a cell and type. Tamaat keeps the column's type as you edit, so a number column stays numeric.

Your changes collect in an "Unsaved edits" bar — click "Save" to commit them or "Cancel" to drop them. If a save partially succeeds you'll see "Saved N rows, but M rows failed.", so re-check the ones that failed.

Datasets marked "Read-only" open for reading but don't take edits.
