Data Store is where your data lives as tables — every row readable before it goes anywhere near a map, a flow, or an API. Ava Reyes at Meridian Geospatial starts her "Harbourview Network Buildout" work here, bringing in the "Hydrants" points before mapping them.
Add a dataset
- 1
Open the "Data Store actions" menu and choose "Add dataset".
- 2
On the "Upload" tab, drop your file on the dropzone — "Drop a file or browse". The "Dataset name" defaults to the file name; change it if you want something else.
- 3
For a CSV or other delimited file, fill in the "Spatial Mapping" block so Tamaat knows which columns hold the coordinates.
- 4
Click "Add dataset".
The dialog's other tabs let you pick something already in your workspace, something shared with you, or a service.
Find a dataset
Use "Search datasets..." at the top of the left pane, then narrow with the tabs: "Own" for what you created, "Shared" for what others shared with you, and "Project" for what's in the open project. Sort by name or date from the section bar.
Open it
Pick "Open dataset" from a row's "Dataset options" menu. Datasets open as tabs, so you can keep "Hydrants" and "Pressure Zones" open together and flip between them.
From the table you can search, filter, sort, page through, and edit values in place — see Filter, Sort, and Edit Rows.
If you see an indexing banner
A dataset can be ready to map before it's ready to search. If you see "Layer is ready in Maps. Data Store indexing is still in progress.", give it a moment — search and filter results depend on that finishing.
