A project is the container for one body of map work — its layers, styling, and activity. This page gets you from signing in to an open, active project.

If you are new, sign up at /signup with your email and a password. Tamaat then requires email verification: enter the 6-digit code from your inbox and click "Verify email" (a resend option is available). Returning users sign in at /login; if your account has Two-factor authentication enabled, a code challenge follows — enter the "Code" and click "Verify and sign in". You land on the Maps home.

One project per piece of work

Your datasets, files, flows, and APIs live once and get used wherever they're needed. A project is one map-centred piece of work that pulls layers from them. Keep separate workstreams in separate projects — Ava Reyes keeps her water-main renewal planning in its own project rather than mixing it into unrelated maps.

Create the project

  1. 1

From the Maps home, choose New project to open the project modal.

  2. 2

Enter a name in place of the Untitled project placeholder — for example Harbourview Network Buildout.

  3. 3

Answer the description prompt "What is this project for?" so a teammate can tell this project apart later — for example Plan cast-iron main renewal across the Harbourview water network.

  4. 4

Create the project. It becomes your active project and opens in the Maps pane.

Active project and switching

Opening a project makes it your active one — the one the Maps pane shows and the one Tamaat AI answers about. The Maps home confirms it with a Continue card. To switch, open a different map from All maps, or use the Project menu inside an open map.

Deleting a project asks "Delete project "«name»"? This action cannot be undone." Your layers survive — they live outside the project — but how you assembled them doesn't.
