Tamaat helps teams bring their geospatial vision to life, wherever they work. Our cloud-native platform brings maps, analysis, workflows, APIs and AI into one connected experience, so teams can build on their expertise, reuse what they create and turn ideas into services their customers can use.
As a Canadian company, we chose the name Tamaat as a tribute to the beauty of Canada and its people. It is inspired by the Inuktitut affix -tamaat, meaning “every.” For us, that inspiration carries a mission: to help people create value everywhere, with fewer barriers imposed by tools, infrastructure or location.
The vision behind Tamaat
Our founder, Dilip Pulikuthiyil Sebastian, has built his career turning geospatial technology into business possibilities. Across more than 16 years in technology, including leadership roles at SaskTel and Bell Canada, he has brought together talented engineering teams, technology partners, and business leaders to turn ambitious ideas into capabilities organizations depend on.
That experience shapes the vision behind Tamaat. Dilip understands both the power of GIS and the effort it takes to deliver something useful with it. He founded Tamaat to make that journey simpler: giving teams a connected place to explore their data, build on their expertise, and bring their ideas to life.
Dilip brings an entrepreneurial perspective grounded in engineering and business leadership. He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia specializing in technology entrepreneurship, a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina, and P.Eng. and PMP designations.
