An AI client you already use — a coding agent, a desktop assistant — can query your project directly over the Model Context Protocol. So you can ask about your map data without leaving whatever you're working in.
Find it in Settings, under AI & integrations → MCP access.
Connect a client
The "Connect a client" panel gives you an endpoint to copy:
POST «base»/ai/agent/mcp/rpc?project_id=<project-id>
It speaks JSON-RPC, and it authenticates as you — your own session, scoped to the projects you can already read. Nothing you can't see becomes visible to your client.
Your client can then list the available tools and call them, the same ones the in-app assistant uses.
Two different MCP surfaces
Tamaat has two, and they point opposite ways:
- Tamaat GIS MCP — this one. Your AI queries your workspace, as you.
- Published MCP — other people's agents call the APIs your organization has published, using a consumer key. See Expose Tools to AI Agents.
