Use Files in ETL

Connect file-managed assets to ETL Builder when the source is not already a managed dataset.

Before you begin
  • File asset stored in File Manager

When the source is file-backed rather than dataset-backed, File Manager becomes the bridge into ETL Builder.

Typical workflow

  1. Upload the source file into File Manager.
  2. Confirm the asset is the right reusable copy.
  3. Use the corresponding ETL reader in ETL Builder.
  4. Preview and validate the file-backed records before building additional transformation logic.
