Tamaat runs in your web browser. There is nothing to install.
What you need
- A current browser: the latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- WebGL 2 with hardware acceleration turned on. The map is drawn by your graphics hardware; without it the map stays blank.
- A desktop or laptop screen for the workspace. It is built for a mouse or trackpad and a keyboard.
- An internet connection. Your data and your maps live in Tamaat, so the workspace does not work offline.
Large files take as long to upload as your connection allows. The formats Tamaat reads are listed under Supported File Types.
If the map does not draw
A blank map almost always means the browser is not using the graphics hardware.
- 1
Turn on hardware acceleration in the browser's settings, then restart the browser.
- 2
Update the browser to its latest version, and update your graphics driver if your computer offers one.
- 3
Try another browser on the same computer. If the map draws there, the first browser's settings are the cause.
Some managed computers turn hardware acceleration off by policy. If you cannot turn it on, ask whoever manages the computer.
