File Manager stores uploaded files that support work in Tamaat but are not managed as GIS datasets in the data store.
File Manager
Common file types
- CSV files used in ETL workflows
- Excel files used as reusable ETL inputs
- raster files that need to be stored and referenced by the platform
- uploaded archives and source assets that support operational work
Why File Manager exists
Once a user uploads a file, Tamaat can keep a managed copy so future runs and workflows do not need a fresh upload every time. That makes recurring ETL and file-based workflows faster and more reliable.
File Manager vs Data Store
- Data Store is for managed datasets used directly as platform data assets.
- File Manager is for reusable uploaded files that support workflows outside that managed-dataset model.
